# 1 Michael Romett K-Pax

K-Pax
While watching this movie during the last class of the semester, I realized that a lot of the part looked familiar to me. It might have been that I saw bits and pieces of it but I thought it was really interesting to finally see the whole film. Aside from the comedic sides of each character, the end left me wondering whether he was really an alien or was his imaginary idea of K-Pax just a figment of his imagination. I believe that he really was an alien using the body of Robert Porter while he was on Earth. The scene when he was in the auditorium and basically showed the scientist a mathematical equation that solved the universe that he said he was from, proved to me that he was an alien. He did this is a matter of seconds and what he showed was something far greater than what anyone on earth has every thought of or have been capable of showing. I thought this movies was interesting because it left so much to be interpreted by the audience. There could be different opinions and I am sure someone can debate that he was not an alien and could have been a genius that was insane, or something along those lines. Another point that shows me that he was an alien was when he could not be found, he said he was on a vacation, but to me this was showing that he was not on earth, that he went back to K-Pax and eventually returned to Earth, in the human form. Kevin Spacey, showed that he knew so much not only about Earth, but also about the world around us. He was so specific about the world he came from that I think it would be hard to try not to believe his story or at least put some consideration towards it. Do you believe that there are other life forms out there or is Earth the only planet that can sustain life? This is a good question based around this film in my opinion.
