My dad has always said that Religion is like Baskin Robbins. There are thirty-one flavors to choose from- each unique with their own varieties of candy, flavoring, and syrups: everything ranging from vanilla to Rocky Road. In addition, there are always ice creams in the back that aren’t really ever presented. We all get the chance to choose our own flavor. Even when we go out and try something different, we often resort to back to our original flavor. This can be related to the religion (or lack there of) we choose, the church we attend, and the way we express our faith in our day-to-day life. In addition, we see these different flavors in films. Sometimes the religion is upfront and honest (think the Passion or Fireproof). However, many films have religion hidden in different aspects (like Harry Potter or Narnia). We all have our personal favorites; it does not mean that one is better than the other. What flavor are you?
