Morgan Arnold Adoption Weblogs (March 9, 2011)
I am currently writing my senior seminar paper on how blogging effects the adoption experience, particularly the parents seeking or who have recently adopted. After doing a textual analysis on almost a hundred blogs, I found that not only did blogging enhance the adoption experience, but it actually was a type of self-therapy. One of my bloggers actually described it as a “theraputic” place and “ritual” part of her week. The majority of the bloggers used that space to process what they were experiencing. I found that this was so similar to prayer, confession, or intimate time with the Lord.
