The juxtaposition in this short film between chaotic, angry life and a peaceful life after death is quite intriguing. The bunny was obviously in an unhappy place. Though there was no verbal language used, the bunny’s body language and actions tell the story. This was not only shown in her actions, but in the upbeat music, images of her love, and in the obviously painful and long life. Just the setting of her old house explains so much about the bunny. It is old and worn down with pictures of people she has loved, but are obviously not in her life anymore. With one sweep of the room, we see the life that the bunny has lived and the sorrows that she now possesses.
There is a symbolism of the oven and its ability to change life. The bunny approaches the oven fearfully- expressing that she is fearful of change and the next stage of life. However, as she enters the oven and accepts change, the outcome is a beautiful, peaceful world. This short film is simple, yet tells so much about life and what is there after.
