Tyler McElhenny- I Robot and Blade Runner

I, Robot and Blade Runner shows the complications that come with our advancements in technology. I don’t think that we will eventually create robots that will attempt to take over our world. These two films might be farfetched in their stories, both the concepts are true. I think that without all of the iPhones and Twitter that come along, we destroy how our lives used to be. We constantly change, and it is uncertain to see if it is for the better. We all the wireless signals that run through the air, there could be an increase in brain tumors. We might get so used to talking through Facebook or AIM, that we begin to lose some of the personal connections in actually talking to somebody. I love technology and everything seems to be much easier as a result. I get to play video games, watch something I want to watch, when I want to, and am able to talk with just about anybody. These perks make us believe that everything is working fine, and this might force us to not look past the immediate satisfaction. I know that my eye sight might have a negative affect later on in life because of video games. Those two movies weren’t necessarily trying to tell us the world is going to be taken over by Optimus Prime, but rather, letting us know that we will be faced with consequences from technology and not to be surprised when it happens.
