Tyler McElhenny- Northfork

Northfork was a very good movie, which had a lot of great imagery and scenes. The best was obviously the church. The church itself didn’t have four walls like you would expect, but only three. The congregation viewed the preacher as well as the pasture while inside the church. To me, this created a greater sense of relaxation and helped to create a sense of God’s presence. This lets the film audience get a better understand of God’s creation as well as everyone in attendance for the church service. Another breathtaking scene is when the car is driving towards the mountains. A coffin is on the roof of the car, which gives the audience a sense of the journey of life. To me, this symbolizes the idea that after death, heaven awaits. Mountains are always viewed as being closer to the sky and that they are a peaceful place. This alludes to heaven and that after death, we spirits will arrive.
