Tyler McElhenny- Paris, Texas

Paris, Texas was one of the films that I was not a big fan of. I felt like the scenery and the images the director used helped to portray the meaning of the film was a big help, but it was difficult for me to comprehend the religious aspects. I was able to understand the sacred and profane distinctions in the film but not much else. The crazy man wandering through the desert with his brother (I think) trying to follow him just didn’t make sense to me. I am sure if I understood what the movie was trying to get across I would have a different opinion but from what I saw, it was probably my least favorite film of the semester.
